Australia’s Aborigines believed
the leaves of Tea Tree
to have healing powers
and used them to treat cuts and wounds.
Captain James Cook of the
British Royal Navy travelled to
Australia and named the plant
Tea Tree, as his sailors used
the leaves to make tea!
1920’s and 1930’s
Arthur Penfold investigated the
powerful antiseptic properties of
Tea Tree, which became very useful
information for the future.
During WW2, Tea Tree
became invaluable for treating
soldiers’ foot fungus and
other minor injuries.

in skincare products and for medical
purposes and is recognised as
